Why did it move?
A balance is a number. The useful part is the sentence after it. Vexa takes a day apart into the things that actually caused it, and every line names the account or the price it came from.
Illustrative sample of one day. Nothing here is modeled: each line is an account entry or a price at a moment, and the total is their sum. What cannot be traced to an account or a price is not folded into the number, and anything forward-looking lives in Forward, labeled as projection.
