The seam
Unsourced means withheld.
Proof is not a layer of the engine. It is the seam running through all six, and this is its specification: what a figure has to carry to leave any layer, in every domain the engine reads.
The spec
What every number owes you.
It shows its source.
The document it came from, and the date it was true. Not a vendor's copy of a filing, and not a summary of one: the record itself, with the identifier that leads back to it.
You can check it.
Click any value and see where it resolves. Checking is the ordinary path through the product, not a support request or an export you have to reconcile by hand.
It repeats.
Same question, same answer. A figure that changes between two identical runs is not intelligence, it is a slot machine, and the engine is built so the same inputs land the same way.
It holds back.
What cannot be sourced is never dressed up as fact. The engine returns less rather than guessing, and it says which part it withheld and why.
On one number
What a figure carries.
The same number that runs the homepage, with everything attached to it.

Apple · net sales, quarter ended 2026-03-28
Verified against source
An unsourced figure never reaches this card. It is withheld.
The figure and its citation are real: Apple's net sales for the quarter ended 2026-03-28, as reported in the Q2 FY2026 10-Q, the same number the engine run ends on. The digest is an illustrative placeholder, shown so the shape of a record is legible before launch. The figures on the data substrate are measured, and every feed behind them is named in the source registry.
Where it reaches
Through every layer, in every domain.
